El Michels Affair announce their new album "24 Hr Sports", which will be released via Big Crown Records, and release the lead single "Anticipate" feat. Clairo.

Leon Michels has quietly become one of the most sought after producers in the music scene. His distinctive sound has caught the attention of the mainstream while continuing to inspire the underground scene.

Since the 2023 album "Glorious Game" by El Michels Affair & Black Thought, Michels has been active as a producer for other artists - including Norah Jones' Grammy-winning "Visions", Clairo's Grammy-nominated "Charm", Kali Uchis' "Moonlight" as well as albums for his labelmates Brainstory, Derya Yildirim & Grup Simsek, Thee Heart Tones and Liam Bailey.

His new album "24 Hr Sports" marks the long-awaited return under his own band name: El Michels Affair. "24 Hr Sports" was inspired by the fashion and graphic design of the Sports Illustrated magazines of the 80s and 90s, MF DOOM's Special Herbs albums, the sample sources used there and gospel music à la Pastor T.L. Barrett.

The sum of these influences, coupled with Michels' impeccable creative flair, results in a recipe for an instant classic - a work that will undoubtedly be one of the most celebrated releases of 2025.
