At the end of the last century, Slipknot rose to fame - and quickly became the most provocative metal project of the present. The album was swiftly followed by two RIAA platinum awards; each subsequent Slipknot release - including four video albums - received additional platinum awards in the U.S. and worldwide. All told, the band has earned eleven platinum and 38 gold trophies worldwide to date. Slipknot's fanbase is steadfast and global - the band's last studio effort, 2008's platinum-enhanced "All Hope is Gone," entered the charts at No. 1 in as many as seven countries, including the U.S
