Act III [CD]

With their only permanent band member and guitarist Rob Cavestany, Death Angel have released many albums over the years. One of the best is Act III, their first major label release, for which they discovered many other areas of music besides thrash metal.

The more acoustic songs leave room for catchy melodies, while the heavier tracks are dominated by driving guitar and bass riffs. Seemingly Endless Time, with its aggressive melodies and some good old riff structures, is one of the most thrashy songs on the album.

By creating an intelligent sound of their own, a combination of metal, rock and funk, Death Angel have carved out a firm place for themselves within the metal scene, despite a 10-year hiatus. The band is still very active today and their metal sound still sounds refreshing and creative.
