American Woman is the sixth and most successful studio album by Canadian rock band The Guess Who, and also the last with lead guitarist Randy Bachman.

He played some of the best guitar riffs the band ever recorded, especially on the hit single "American Woman", later successfully covered by Lenny Kravitz.

The Canadian rock band The Guess Who had international success in the period of the late 60s and early 70s. Originally formed as a garage rock band, their sound evolved more and more towards psychedelic with a pop rock approach.
