Reissue of the original 1979 album by Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers "Back In Your Life".

"Back in Your Life" is the third album by American rock band Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers, released in February 1979 on Beserkley Records. Although the album is credited to Richman and his backing band, the backing band can only be heard on half of the album.

The album marks an experimental departure from the Modern Lovers' typical rock sound, largely thanks to a new backing band. The album ventures into genres such as doo-wop and children's music and was produced by Beserkley Records founder Matthew King Kauffman and pop legend from the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame, Kenny Laguna.

The sound is reminiscent of the late 50's, early 60's - but with its finger on the pulse of the times throughout. The Modern Lovers were founded in 1970 by the young singer, songwriter and guitarist Jonathan Richman and were joined by Jerry Harrison (keyboards), Ernie Brooks (bass) and David Robinson (drums). Occasionally Richman's friend and original band member John Felice also joined them.
