John Travolta reprises his role as gangster-turned-movie producer Chili Palmer in this crime comedy sequel directed by F. Gary Gray. After his latest project flops, Chili decides it is time for something new.
When his friend Tommy Athens (James Woods), a fellow gangster who runs an independent record label, is murdered by Russian mobsters, Chili takes over the company and begins courting Tommy's widow Edie (Uma Thurman). As he attempts to sign Linda Moon (Christina Milian) from a rival label, he finds himself facing multiple enemies including crooked music producers and the same Russian mobsters who killed Tommy. The cast also includes Vince Vaughan, Cedric the Entertainer and Harvey Keitel.
