Saxophonist Branford Marsalis, one of the most important jazz artists of our time and a major creative force in the American music scene for more than four decades, makes his Blue Note debut with "Belonging", a complete reinterpretation of Keith Jarrett's 1974 ECM album of the same name, the debut of his European Quartet.

"Belonging" is Marsalis' first new release since 2019 with his acclaimed, long-standing quartet featuring pianist Joey Calderazzo, bassist Eric Revis and drummer Justin Faulkner. With "Belonging", Marsalis and his quartet prove how the loving examination of an admired work and the freedom of jazz can create a new, equally impressive work.
