"Black Clouds & Silver Linings" marks another milestone in Dream Theater's unprecedented musical journey that began two and a half decades ago and has since spawned a diverse body of unique music, established progressive metal worldwide and inspired an incredibly devoted fan base.

The new album - produced by the band's principal songwriters, Mike Portnoy and John Petrucci - once again offers dynamic compositions, vivid lyrical scenarios and ambitious, multi-layered compositions that have established the band as a unique creative force for years. on "Black Clouds & Silver Linings", alongside the two tracks "A Rite Of Passage" and "Wither", which are relatively short by Dream Theater standards, there are four familiar long pieces that once again demonstrate the band's preference for expansive, multi-faceted epics.

"A Nightmare To Remember", "The Shattered Fortress", "The Best Of Times" and the almost 20-minute final song on the album, "The Count Of Tuscany", demonstrate the complexity of the compositions and the five-piece's exceptional instrumental skills, which, together with the crystal-clear production, make them one of the best bands in their genre.
