The Iron City Houserockers burst onto the music scene with their 1979 album "Love's So Tough", but their third album, "Blood On The Bricks" from 1981, is particularly dear to fans. Houserocker boss Joe Grushecky and co (Eddie Britt, Art Nardini, Gil Snyder, Ned Rankin and Marc Reisman) teamed up with legendary guitarist and songwriter Steve Cropper to create an album that also has its place in the heartland rock genre.
The CD debut of "Blood On The Bricks" contains 11 previously unreleased bonus tracks in addition to the 9 original tracks, expanding the album into a double CD set. A remixed outtake from the original sessions, a series of demos and four rousing live tracks from the legendary Inn-Square Men's Bar in Cambridge, Massachusettes, round off the set.
The remastering, with the help of Joe and Johnny Grushecky, gives this classic a new lease of life, while the bonus material takes the listener on a journey from the early days of the album to live workouts shortly after its original release.
