Chavela Vargas [LP]

Originally released in 1997, this album is a collection of some of the most iconic and emotional songs from Chavela's repertoire. It includes breathtaking gems like "Sombras," a beautiful duet with Spanish singer Ana Belén, and "Nosotros," another touching duet with the respected singer and songwriter Joaquín Sabina.

These collaborations, along with other tracks on the album, highlight special moments from Chavela's incredible career. Discovered by the legendary José Alfredo Jiménez singing on the streets of Mexico City, Chavela Vargas created a unique style, transforming Mexican corridos into a new genre. She became a reference as both an artist and an icon for the feminist movement.
