Crowded House is an Australian trio formed in 1984 by lead singer Neil Finn and bassist Nick Seymour (the younger brother of Hunters and Collectors frontman Mark) together with drummer Paul Hester after the break-up of Split Enz. Their debut album "Crowded House" from 1986 produced the singles "World Where You Live", "Something So Strong" and their timeless and best-known song "Don't Dream It's Over", in which Finn's guitar plays a Maori strum and Froom plays an organ solo.
Together with the absolutely magical sonic moments of "Love You 'Till The Day I Die", "Hole In The River" and the album's pièce de résistance, the closing track "That's What I Call Love", the result is a funky, anthemic and obviously passionate project that ranks among the greatest pop albums of the 1980s.
