Da Vinci Genius: The Score (180g) (Limited Numbered Edition) (Gold Vinyl) [2LP]

Top British DJ/producer Sasha is back with the score for "Da Vinci Genius", an immersive exhibition in honor of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Italian polymath of the Renaissance.

In 2024, we experience Sasha immersing himself in classical music and combining it with his famous deep soundscape. With his expertise in electronic music and his passion for film, he engaged the same team for this complex project that supported him on his 2016 work "Scene Delete", when he first opened up to imaginary film music.

His team's inspirations and influences range from producers such as Nils Frahm, Jon Hopkins, Steve Reich, Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre to Stanley Kubrick's use of classical music in his films and modern film composers such as Hans Zimmer.

Sasha and his team mixed classical movements with electronic sounds and integrated medieval choral music by Renaissance composer Josquin des Pres, which influenced some of the ambient passages.

With "Da Vinci Genius", Sasha enters uncharted territory, combining classical and modern elements. The show debuted in Berlin in 2021, was transferred to Amsterdam and will thrill audiences in Miami and Mumbai later this year.
