Dance Called Memory [CD]

Nation of Language release their fourth album "Dance Called Memory", their first on Sub Pop. The 10-track album was recorded, produced and mixed by Nick Millhiser in New York City and mastered by Heba Kadry in Brooklyn.

"Dance Called Memory" includes the current single 'Inept Apollo', as well as highlights 'Under the Water', 'In Your Head', 'Silhouette' and 'I'm Not Ready for the Change', which is released today with an official video by director John MacKay.

Synthpop, minimal wave, post-punk, gothic, new romantic - fans and critics alike have dug deep into their old thesauruses to describe the beguiling work of Nation of Language. And if you can't exactly define the band, that's exactly the point.

Frontman Ian Richard Devaney has wondrously expanded the possibilities that synthesizer-driven music can evoke, making his work both a supernatural journey and an all-too-human destination.
