Desolation [CD]

CUBY & THE BLIZZARDS have been a fixture in the Netherlands since the mid-1960s. Their early material leaned toward beat/punk, but they soon shifted toward the blues.
Before the band recorded their own material, they served as Van Morrison’s backing band between his time with THEM and the start of his solo career. By the time their first album, *Desolation*, was released in 1966, the band had already traded their R&B/pop sound for straight-ahead blues.
