When Fleetwood Mac released their self-titled album in 1975, it was an important turning point in the band's history:

After a long search for musical identity and several versions of the band line-up, Fleetwood Mac had found themselves as they are known today: Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined Mick Fleetwood, John McVie Christine McVie and together they recorded "Fleetwood Mac", which sold five million copies in the USA alone with hits such as "Landslide", "Say You Love Me" and "Rhiannon" and reached number one in the charts.

On the 50th anniversary of its original release, the self-titled album was certified 9x platinum by the RIAA. To celebrate, Rhino announces a premium audio edition of Fleetwood Mac, the 1975 album that ushered in a new era for the band. On August 8, 2025, the album will be re-released in Dolby Atmos for the first time.
