As one of the best-known saxophonists in the Netherlands and the daughter of Hans Dulfer, Candy needs no introduction. The self-taught musician began playing at the age of six and made her first recordings in 1981 at the age of 11.
In 1990, she released her hit album "Saxuality" (which sold more than a million copies worldwide), for which she received a Grammy nomination, and followed it up with "Sax-a-Go-Go" in 1993. This is the follow-up to "Big Girl" and continues the path she has taken with funk, R&B and dance. But make no mistake: Candy's vocals are as fierce, gritty and direct as ever, forming a striking contrast. As on "Big Girl", Dutch singers Trijntje Oosterhuis and Berget Lewis are once again on board. The album contains the songs "Saxy Mood" and "Smooth" and reached number 8 on the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Albums for 1998.
"For the Love of You" is available as a limited edition on translucent purple vinyl and includes an insert.
