"Givin' It Back" is the ninth album by the ISLEY BROTHERS, released in 1971 on their own sub-label T-Neck. After Years in which white rock bands released their best-known material such as "Shout" and "Twist And Shout," the ISLEY BROTHERS decided to the ISLEY BROTHERS decided to do the same with the music of white Artists such as STEPHEN STILLS, ERIC BURDON and NEIL YOUNG.
Among the songs they covered, were "Spill The Wine," "Love The One You're With," "Machine Gun", "Fire And Rain" or "Lay Lady Lay". The Perseverance of the ISLEYs paid off: their cover versions Cover versions became chart hits. On "Cold Bologna" the legendary Bill Withers plays guitar
