Through the release of 2023's Discovery and tours of the Midwest and New York, trumpeter Eric Jacobson and his quintet, consisting of New York pianist Bruce Barth and Chicago-based saxophonist Geof Bradfield, bassist Dennis Carroll and drummer George Fludas, have coalesced into a thriving ensemble that plays at the highest level.

His eight original compositions are the perfect vehicle for Jacobson's warm-hearted playing and the soulful presence of the band, which soars to new heights time and again. Heading Home is a mesmerizing celebration of friendship, exploration and a shared passion for music. It's a sonic journey that takes you from Milwaukee and Chicago to New York - and finally back home again.
