A musical jack-of-all-trades like Jacob Collier can produce something incredibly creative even with limited resources. His new album "The Light For Days" proves this. After his four musically exuberant "Djesse" albums, the Brit lets 2025 look deep into his soul with intimate acoustic guitar songs. "The Light For Days" is a reduced and emotionally gripping work that reveals the core of his art.
To achieve this, Jacob Collier set himself the creative challenge of writing and recording an entire album on just one instrument in a very short space of time. A completely new experience for the perfectionist and all-rounder from London. "I worked so quickly that I couldn't question anything. I just had to get into a flow and trust the process," says Collier. This is how "The Light For Days" was created in just four days in the teenage bedroom where Jacob Collier's career began.
A collection of new originals from his pen and hand-picked cover versions (James Taylor, John Martyn, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Staves), all of them immediate, soulful and timeless. Always carried by the unmistakable voice of the 31-year-old.
