Live: It's Been Awhile [CD]

"Live: It's Been Awhile": the name of Staind's new concert album says it all. The last studio album "Staind" was released ten years ago, in 2011, and their last live album "Live from Mohegan Sun" came out in 2012. The fact that the title also refers to their first hit single from 2001 has certainly not escaped fans of the post-grunge and nu-metal heroes from Springfield, Massachusetts.

After a five-year hiatus, Staind returned to the stage in 2019 while celebrating their reunion. The concert was recorded at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and has never been shown until now.

The band, which currently consists of singer-guitarist Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny "Old School" and drummer Sal Giancarelli, who replaced Jon Wysocki in 2011, played a total of 15 songs. The career-spanning set includes classics like "Fade," "Outside," "For You," "So Far Away," "Right Here" and, of course, the eponymous "It's Been Awhile," which Staind previously released as the first taste of the record. The album comes to a total length of over 70 minutes playing time.
