Homage to Heifetz (Lalo, Korngold, Debussy) [CD]

With her new album 'Homage to Heifetz', she follows in these footsteps and focuses on works that are closely linked to Heifetz's legacy. Recorded with Gustavo Dudamel, another source of inspiration for Dueñas not only "as a fantastic musician but also as a wonderful person", and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, the new album includes Korngold's Violin Concerto and Lalo's Symphonie espagnole. The program is complemented by miniatures by Debussy and Ponce, which consciously follow in Heifetz's tradition. The result is an album that honors Heifetz's legacy and at the same time highlights María Dueñas' own artistic voice.
