Marcus Mumford and his band have remained in the creative flow. After the success of "Rushmere", they have continued to write tirelessly - inspired by their close collaboration and supported by long-time friends. Aaron Dessner, guitarist of The National and trusted partner of the band, took over the production of "Prizefighter" for the first time. Under his direction, the new songs were written in just ten days - a creative energy and confidence that characterizes the album throughout.
This new strength is also evident in the numerous top-class collaborations: With country star Chris Stapleton, up-and-coming artist Gigi Perez and pop talent Gracie Abrams, the guest list is more prominent than ever. Justin Vernon aka Bon Iver also contributes impressive background vocals. The first single "Rubber Band Man", a duet with folk troubadour Hozier, has already become a hit.
