US blues rock musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd is releasing his new album "Goin' Home" at the beginning of May.
Five-time Grammy-nominated blues rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd is releasing his new album "Goin' Home" on Provogue / Mascot Label Group. The album not only gives a wide insight into Shepherd's musical influences, but also includes guest appearances from some of his close friends and greatest contemporary musicians such as Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, Warren Haynes, Keb' Mo' Robert Randolph, Kim Wilson (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Pastor Brady Blade Sr. and the Rebirth Brass Band.
"Goin' Home" contains songs originally recorded by Shepherd's idols such as B. B. King, Albert King, Bo Diddley, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Lee Dorsey and many other greats of the blues. He dug deep into their record boxes and chose the songs that inspired him when he was still learning to play the guitar himself.
