In their twelve-year band history to date, Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington, known together as Darkside, have released the two albums "Psychic" (2013) and "Spiral" (2021). With their longtime friend and collaborator Tlacael Esparza as a new band member and drummer, their third album "Nothing" will be released in 2025.
The duo took a six-year break between their first two albums. During this time, Jaar and Harrington each pursued their own creative paths: Jaar established himself as a solo artist and producer, while Harrington stirred up the underground scene in L.A. as an innovative guitarist and experimental musician and founded the rock band Taper's Choice.
The story then continues in Los Angeles in the fall of 2022 when the duo booked a series of shows to reunite as a live band for the first time in eight years. Esparza joined as a permanent member and fundamentally changed the sound and energy of the band.
