California-born singer-songwriter Jillian Rose Banks, also known as BANKS, creates moody, alternative pop with shades of contemporary R&B. Emerging in the early 2010s with a handful of downtempo alt-R&B songs, BANKS created a distinctive sound that helped her gain a cross-genre audience. Her critically acclaimed and gold-winning debut album "Goddess" included songs like "Before I Ever Met You," "Warm Water" and "Fall Over," and she worked with producers Justin Parker, Shlomo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. The album landed just outside the top ten of the Billboard 200.

In 2016, BANKS released their highly anticipated second album "The Altar", which included the singles "Fuck with Myself", "Gemini Feeed" and "Mind Games" and peaked at #17 on the Billboard 200. In July 2019, BANKS returned with her third studio album "III", which included her synth-heavy single "Gimme" Other collaborators included Francis and the Lights on "Look What You're Doing To Me" and producer Paul Epworth (Adele, Rihanna) on "Hawaiian Mazes" In 2020, she released a short EP titled "Live and Stripped", followed by her 2022 album "Serpentina", which BANKS recorded in months of isolation amidst the pandemic and explores the theme of shedding the old skin and embracing the new. BANKS' artistic work is characterized by the genuineness and vulnerability expressed in her music.

With so much success behind her, BANKS is looking forward to an exciting future. BANKS' latest singles "Best Friends" and "I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend" will be included on BANKS' upcoming fifth studio album titled "Off With Her Head", about which she says: "In many ways it's a big sister album to "Goddess". After a decade apart, I've reunited with the musicians and producers who helped shape my debut. But at the same time, it's something completely different - I've grown so much as an artist and as a person, and that journey is documented in all these sounds."
