Daniel Day-Lewis and Lesley Manville star in this drama written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Working with his sister Cyril (Manville), Reynolds Woodcock (Day-Lewis), a prominent dressmaker in 1950s London, dresses a number of high-profile celebrities. When he meets and falls for a young woman named Alma (Vicky Krieps), Reynolds finds his regimented life turned upside down.

As he struggles with the fact his work is being affected by his personal life, Alma goes to extreme lengths to keep a degree of control over their relationship. The cast also includes Brian Gleeson, Gina McKee and Camilla Rutherford.
