Originally recorded in 1992, "Play Me Backwards" is one of the more special albums in Joan Baez's 50-year career. The recordings brought her back to Nashville, the famous city where she previously recorded four albums between 1968 and 1971. On this album Joan Baez has confirmed that she can not only interpret songs by other songwriters great like "Stones In The Road" (Mary Ch. Carpenter) or "Steal Across The Border" (Ron Davies)

"Play Me Backwards" also includes four songs she wrote with her producers, "Play Me Backwards," "Isaac And Abraham," "I'm With You" and "Edge Of Glory." Fans will enjoy 10 songs, including covers of Dylan's "Seven Curses."
