Ten years after its original release, Post Malone is officially releasing his early mixtape “August 26”—which has also circulated among fans as “Lost Tapes”—on vinyl for the first time. The project is being released to mark its tenth anniversary.

Originally released in May 2016, “August 26” has until now been available primarily via Post’s SoundCloud profile. With songs like “Never Understand,” “Git Wit U,” “God Damn,” and “Fuck,” the mixtape documents that creative breakthrough phase during which Post Malone developed his unmistakable blend of hip-hop, pop, and alternative sounds. The title refers to the originally planned release date of his debut album “Stoney,” which was eventually released later that same year. With this anniversary edition, one of the most sought-after early chapters of his career is finally getting the official release that fans have been waiting for for years.
