The Eternal's distinctive sound is a fusion of dark, melancholic and soulful metal with influences from the doom and progressive genres. The latest incarnation of the band includes Jan Rechberger (Amorphis) and Niclas Etelävuori (ex-Amorphis / Flat Earth) as well as longtime members Mark Kelson and Richie Poate.
