Thomas Newman became the ninth composer in the history of the James Bond series. His music for the 2012 film "Skyfall" won the BAFTA Award for Best Film Score. In 2013, it was one of two Bond scores nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score.

"Skyfall" (2012) is the twenty-third spy film in the James Bond film series. It stars Daniel Craig in his third appearance as James Bond and Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's villain. The movie was directed by Sam Mendes and revolves around Bond investigating an attack on MI6. The attack is part of a plan by former MI6 agent Raoul Silva to humiliate, discredit and kill M in order to get revenge on her for betraying him.

After two films, two recurring characters return to the series: Q, played by Ben Whishaw, and Moneypenny, played by Naomie Harris. "Skyfall" is the last film in the series for Judi Dench, who played M, a role she held in the six previous films.

"Skyfall" is available in a limited edition of 1500 numbered copies on Translucent Red Vinyl. This 2LP package comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a 4-page booklet.
