Songbook [LP]

A newly recorded 12-track album featuring a classic collection of the strongest songs from Gilbert's extensive catalog over the last 55 years - including the brand new track "A Kiss is A Kiss", recorded at Lafayette, King's Cross, in late 2023.

The idea for 'Songbook' came about after O'Sullivan's Barbican show in 2022 (where Tim Burgess of The Charlatans duetted with him on 'Nothing Rhymed'). BMG had the idea and suggested O'Sullivan record the album in a way that captured the instrumentation and interplay between him and guitarist Bill Shanley.

Described as a "songwriter's songwriter", Gilbert O'Sullivan has gained a huge following among his musical peers including; Paul Weller, Elton John, Nina Simone, Mick Hucknall, Ron Sexmith, The Lemon Twigs, Michael Bublé and Diana Krall.
