"Songs for Nina and Johanna" is the new, sensitive album by Scottish singer-songwriter James Yorkston. Recorded in Stockholm with members of the Second Hand Orchestra, the album reunites James Yorkston with the unmistakable voice of Nina Persson (The Cardigans), while he collaborates for the first time with Johanna Söderberg (First Aid Kit). Both sing several songs together with him.

The album revolves around deeply personal themes such as family, love and parenthood - motifs that are more central to Yorkston's work than ever after more than twenty years in music. The warm, often melancholy songs are characterized by fine melodies, honest lyrics and an intimacy that is enhanced by Persson's and Söderberg's voices.

In contrast to earlier, more improvised productions, the creation of this album followed a clear structure. The intensive sessions at Studio Rymden were accompanied by producer Daniel Bengtson, who created an open, creative environment.
