Tarja's new metal album "Frisson Noir" is a powerful statement about identity, strength and belonging. After years of exploring different musical worlds, Tarja is now exactly where she belongs: in metal.
The album showcases Tarja's unique blend of epic orchestral arrangements, classical elements and modern metal. On ten tracks, Tarja unfolds a broad spectrum of emotions, full of energy, passion and strength. She is supported by top-class guests such as Dani Filth (Cradle of Filth), Apocalyptica, Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish) and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers). The album was mixed by GRAMMY award-winning producer Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Skillet, Disturbed), who combined the modern, powerful sound with the dramatic and emotional elements that make up Tarja's unmistakable style.
The CD digipack contains a 28-page booklet with illustrations, photos and all song lyrics. The first edition is finished with high-quality copper foil and embossing.
