Annahstasia announces her debut album "Tether", which will be released via drink sum wtr. At the same time as the announcement, she releases the new single "Villain".
Annahstasia says of the new single: "We are all made up of both shadow and light. From some angle we've all been the villain of the story, we're all trying our best and negotiating for survival." The single is accompanied by a stunning music video directed by Adam Davis and featuring the black rodeo community in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

"My career has been a lesson in patience," says Annahstasia, who has cultivated her musical language between the flames of intimacy and independence across different lives, places and repetitions, loves lost and won, expectations eluded and recreated. The aspiring troubadour's proximity to love for and of others, in society at large and deep within herself, guides the spirit of her soulful, poetic folk songcraft.

Love is the elemental constant alongside her unmistakable voice that has characterized the singer-songwriter's music since her first self-taught recordings, when the then 17-year-old Annahstasia Enuke was discovered and thrust into the constraints of an industry that nearly stifled her greatest strengths.
