Born from the ashes of silence, The Solitude deliver an authentic resurrection of classic epic doom metal - slow, heavy and deeply human.

Formed more than 30 years ago by Janne Parviainen (Ensiferum) and reborn through the vision of Gas Lipstick (ex-HIM, Kyyria), Aleksi Parviainen and Ville Pelkonen, the band takes its cues from the timeless majesty of Candlemass and Black Sabbath while forging its own unique path.

Their upcoming debut album "The Sound of Absent Life" (Reaper Entertainment) was recorded live on analog tape at Finnvox Studios - raw, unfiltered and full of genuine emotion. Produced by the band, mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Amorphis) and mastered by Mika Jussila (Motörhead, Stratovarius, Nightwish), the album captures the essence of two real musicians playing together and rejecting modern perfection for the human soul.

The Solitude represents what so much modern music has lost - honesty, emotion and imperfection. Or, as the band puts it: Epic. Fucking. Doom.
