On this album, Thin Lizzy have put everything into the music and taken risks. It is passionate, full of energy and unmistakable.
The debut album "Thin Lizzy" by Irish rock band Thin Lizzy was released on April 30, 1971, followed in August of the same year by the EP "New Day", produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios. This deluxe CD/Blu-ray audio release for the 55th anniversary of Thin Lizzy's debut album contains rarities, BBC sessions and previously unreleased music. Richard Whittaker has created a new stereo mix of the album which is included on CD.
The 3CD / Blu-ray audio contains 15 unreleased tracks, including the previously unreleased studio track "Beggar's Song". The track list also includes the rare "New Day EP" alongside other rarities and BBC sessions. The 3CD format also includes a brand new stereo mix by Richard Whittaker and a Blu-ray Audio with the first ever Dolby Atmos mix. The deluxe set is housed in a sturdy box and includes a 40-page hardcover book with extensive liner notes by Mojo's Mark Blake and memorabilia.
