Tomorrow We'll Figure Out The Rest [CD]

For her album "Tomorrow We'll Figure Out The Rest", Silje Nergaard composed a collection of beautifully melodic songs inspired by classic jazz standards. Songs about life and love - universal themes that we can all identify with.

The multi-award-winning Norwegian jazz singer and songwriter Silje Nergaard presents her new album "Tomorrow We'll Figure Out the Rest", which will be released in early April 2025 via Sony Music. This is a deeply personal tribute to her parents and a musical journey inspired by memories, moments with her family and scenes from her life.

"'Tomorrow We'll Figure Out the Rest' is not just the title of an album, but also what life is about in the moment - the permission to not have everything perfectly figured out," explains Silje Nergaard. "This inspiration comes from a source that is very close to me: my parents. They showed me how much joy music can bring to a home - the joy and also the sadness it brings to our hearts. They taught me that life doesn't always have to be planned down to the last detail."

With her special ability to tell moving stories with music, Silje combines intimate jazz sounds with orchestral arrangements on "Tomorrow We'll Figure Out the Rest". She is accompanied by leading European jazz musicians, including Helge Lien (piano), Jarle Vespestad (drums), Finn Guttormsen (bass), George (Jojje) Wadenius (guitar) and Håkon Kornstad (saxophone). The ensemble is complemented by the renowned Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Vince Mendoza, who composed the emotionally colorful, at times almost cinematic orchestral arrangements for the album. Mendoza and Nergaard previously worked together on the Grammy-nominated album "A Thousand True Stories".
