To coincide with the label's 75th anniversary and the worldwide LP revival, Blue Note boss Don Was has made an LP reissue campaign a top priority: No fewer than 100 Blue Note album classics are now being released in monthly stacks of 5 in classic analog sound, elaborately remastered from the original tapes, pressed in 180gr and made attractive for very modern people with a download code.
It starts with classics by Art Blakey, Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Larry Young and Wayne Shorter. And 5 more gems will follow each month up to and including February next year. The turntable will be smiling!
