Tusks: Gold [LP]

Following her two highly acclaimed albums "Dissolve" (2017) and "Avalanche" (2019), London-based electronic songwriter and producer Tusks, aka Emily Underhill, is back with her third album "Gold".

"Gold" slowly took shape over several months of rewriting and reworking; half of it was written at home in the middle of London and half during two solitary trips to Devon, where many of the songs found their inspiration. Needing some space away from a shared home that had just survived a pandemic and a relationship that was coming to an end, she traveled to the South West. It was here that she wrote most of her album, realizing that she needed to work through some things on her own, and in no small part that came in the form of a violent storm. When the album returned to London, Tusks worked with producer Tom Andrews to bring the tracks to life in studios such as Ten87 in Tottenham and SS2 Recording in Southend.
