In 2023, saxophonist Joshua Redman made his Blue Note debut with the surprising album "where are we", his first project to feature a vocalist throughout: Gabrielle Cavassa.

On his new album "Words Fall Short", Joshua Redman now returns to instrumental jazz, with Gabrielle Cavassa singing only a single track - instead, Redman's sheds more light on his own compositions. He interprets outstanding and atmospheric originals that he has worked on in recent years without a specific project in mind, with musicians who are as young as they are sensationally good (pianist Paul Cornish, bassist Philip Norris and drummer Nazir Ebo). Saxophonist Melissa Aldana and trumpeter Skylar Tang set the tone as guests.
