"SPLAT!" is the long-awaited new album from one of the greatest rock bands of all time: Deep Purple. Instead of relying on their legacy, Deep Purple are determined to carry it forward with the same spirit that characterized their early albums.

With "SPLAT!", the band present their heaviest album for many years, recorded together in the studio, as has always been Deep Purple's custom. Produced once again by Bob Ezrin, the album combines exactly the sound and attitude that have made Deep Purple unmistakable for decades. At the center of SPLAT! is an idea developed by frontman Ian Gillan: the end of humanity is not conceived as an apocalypse, but as a metamorphosis beyond physical existence.

The limited edition Deep Purple SPLAT! Cassette, produced by Revox, contains 13 brand new tracks.

The cassette used is based on the legendary "Grandmaster 456 Formula" (Ferro Type I) developed exclusively by Revox for music cassettes and stands for the highest quality and a wonderful analog sound. For optimum production, the production masters are created by Christoph Stickel, a Grammy-nominated mastering engineer, in his mastering studio in Vienna and perfectly matched to the special properties of the cassette tape used. These exclusive masters are then used to produce the audio cassettes at the Revox factory.

The exclusive Revox cassette housing, which is manufactured in Europe and secured with five screws, guarantees high mechanical quality and precise workmanship. The result is an important contribution to precise and durable cassette transportation and the best possible sound experience.

The triple-folded insert card (J-Card) contains lots of additional information about the album. The transparent cassette sleeve (snap box) protects the cassette and the insert card and allows a direct view of the cassette.
