Deep Purple: Pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal. Legends of rock. The legendary band's 15th studio album, "Purpendicular", was the first they recorded with new guitarist Steve Morse, who took the band to new heights and made this album the most experimental Deep Purple album of all time.

The guitar became more central, there were more harmonies, and it sounded like they were having fun again; most famously "Vavoom: Ted The Mechanic", which is based on a true story Ian Gillan once heard in a pub.
